East Staffordshire Borough Council is pleased to announce that a jobs fair is to be held at Burton Town Hall on Tuesday 10th September.
A range of employers will be attending on the day, seeking to fill a variety of job vacancies. Employers already confirmed as promoting vacancies on the day include the NHS, Top hat, UPS and GI Group.
Employers who are looking to fill job vacancies are also being encouraged to attend. Stands are free and by spending just a couple of hours at the event, you can quickly make contact with a number of job seekers.
The jobs fair is expected to be well attended by jobseekers, with plenty of opportunities for businesses to bypass the long process of advertising positions and sorting through CVs. Instead, employers have direct access to potential candidates for their open positions.
As a job seeker, you don’t need to do anything today; simply drop in with some CVs and see if there is anything on offer for you.
Councillor George Allen, Deputy Leader for Regeneration, said: “This is a wonderful opportunity for both employers looking to fill job vacancies and job seekers looking for work or a career change.
“Over 500 job seekers attended the last event in June, with over two thirds leaving the event with a positive outcome.”
The fair is delivered in partnership between East Staffordshire Borough Council, Job Centre Plus, Burton and South Derbyshire College, Trent and Dove Housing, Support Staffordshire and Burton and District Chamber of Commerce.
