The Brewhouse Arts Centre has announced that it plans to reopen its doors to visitors from Monday 24th May 2021 in line with the Government’s road map for easing restrictions.
The reopening will see the return of live performances for the first time in over twelve months, with all events operating reduced capacity to ensure social distancing. Small socially distanced workshops, rehearsals and activities will also restart.
Councillor Bernard Peters, Deputy Leader for Community and Regulatory Services, said: “I’m delighted that the Brewhouse Arts Centre will be reopening its doors on Monday.
“As well as a reducing capacity for performances, the venue has also introduced a range of safety measures, including a one way system, hand sanitiser points and enhanced cleaning procedures. This commitment to following Covid-19 guidelines and ensuring visitor safety has seen the venue awarded the ‘Good To Go’ standard by Visit Britain.”
To mark the reopening, visitors can enjoy the acclaimed family show, The Snail and the Whale, from Friday 11th to Sunday 13th June 2021.
The show, which follows the journey of an adventurous young girl and her seafaring father as they reimagine the story of a tiny snail’s incredible trip around the world, is inspired by the much-loved picture book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler and brought to the Brewhouse by the company that brought ‘The Gruffalo’ live to the stage.
