Children from Holy Trinity, Anglesey and Christ Church schools had the chance of working with local artists, to explore different environments and creative processes. With thanks to Burton based companies Making Trails and Hardy Signs, the artwork has now been turned into displays in the towns three shopping centres.
Councillor Bernard Peters, Deputy Leader for Community and Regulatory Services said: “The hardworking pupils have shown great enthusiasm and talent for this project, please visit the displays and show your support.”
This project was funded by the Welcome Back Fund/European Regional Development Fund, as part of the Re-Opening high Streets Safely initiative.
The completed artwork is now on public display in Coopers Square Shopping Centre, The Octagon Shopping Centre and Burton Place Shopping Centre. The Brewhouse Arts Centre will also be hosting a free make and take workshop in Coopers Square Shopping Centre on the 22nd of February from 10am-2.30pm.
